What grade levels does Ohana Institute serve?

Ohana Institute serves students in kindergarten through 12th grade. Ohana Day School serves Pre-K 3 and Pre-K 4, so a child can start with us at three and stay through graduation.

How big are the classes?

Class sizes typically run between 12 and 15 students, which lets teachers know each child's learning style and notice when something changes. Our student-to-teacher ratio is about 10 to 1 on average.

What is the tuition to attend Ohana Institute?

Annual tuition is $21,500, with annual, bi-annual, and monthly payment plans and discounts for multiple students and non-monthly plans. Most Florida families qualify for a Step Up For Students scholarship, typically $9,000 to $10,000 per student per year. See tuition and Step Up for the details.

Are there scholarship opportunities?

Yes. We participate in Step Up For Students, the scholarship program provided by the state of Florida, and we help every family through the application. Families applying in the fall may still be eligible for partial funding.

Yes. After submitting an application and the non-refundable $350 application fee, students are paired with a peer to spend a full day at Ohana.

Do Ohana students take standardized tests?

All students in kindergarten through 7th grade take the Iowa Assessment each February, which gives Ohana standardized data, informs curriculum adjustments, and helps students learn the process of testing. Beginning in 8th grade, students have the opportunity to take the PSAT. 10th and 11th graders take the PSAT/NMSQT, which qualifies juniors for the National Merit Scholarship Program, and all high school students receive support preparing for the ACT and SAT.

Does Ohana follow a traditional school calendar?
